Job Title: Data Engineer - Cloud Data Warehouse Specialist

At Lyons Consulting Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems that handle petabytes of data daily.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data requirements and develop data pipelines using Python.
  • Ensure that assigned areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives.
  • Provide estimations, agree task duration with the manager, and supply to project plans of assigned areas.
  • Analyze scope of alternative solutions and make decisions about area implementation based on experience and technical expertise.
  • Report about area readiness/quality and raise red flags in crisis situations beyond their AOR.
  • Responsible for resolving crisis situations within their AOR.
  • Initiate and conduct code reviews, craft code standards, conventions, and guidelines.
  • Suggest technical and functional improvements to supply to the product.
  • Constantly improve their professional level.

Required Skills:

  • University degree in Computer Related Sciences or similar.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in crafting data pipelines for a cloud data warehouse.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Experience building data pipelines in Python.
  • Experience with extracting data from Rest APIs and ingesting it to a cloud data warehouse.
  • Experience working with S3 buckets and writing DAGs on Airflow.
  • Experience programmatically working with any cloud data warehouse.
  • Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering standard processes.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and social skills.
  • Result-oriented approach.
  • Good English (oral & written) and communication skills in general.
  • Experience in AWS.
