Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Humanities Teacher to join our team at Prairie Land School Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lesson plans to students in Grades 7, 8, and 9, as well as English 30-1 and 30-2, Grade 8 Health, and a Grade 7 Indigenous Way of Knowing class.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet the Alberta Education Social Studies curriculum requirements
• Develop and implement interactive learning activities that promote student engagement and understanding
• Utilize technology and various teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating learning environment
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their growth

Requirements

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Strong background in teaching Humanities courses
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a video conferencing teaching/learning environment
• Proven track record of delivering quality content and achieving academic success
