We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Arts Technician to join our team at Printocraft. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality output in our printing shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Press Operations
    • Mount and scan photographs with precision and attention to detail.
    • Design and layout pages using industry-standard software.
    • Make stencil patterns and set type for printing.
  • Production and Quality Control
    • Arrange for project printing and publication, ensuring timely delivery.
    • Digitize images using peripherals and transform them using retouching systems, graphic palettes, or specialized software.
    • Perform the layout, page make-up, and placement using conceptual mock-ups provided.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Review the graphic designer's instructions and provide feedback.
    • Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
    • Or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced printing shop environment.
    • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
    • Willingness to work overtime and meet tight deadlines.
