Job Title: Truck Driver - Route Optimization Specialist
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Route Optimization Specialist to join our team at Jade Xpress. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices.
- Arrange travel, itineraries, and make reservations.
- Drive lighter, special purpose trucks and load/unload goods.
- Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Oversee vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
- Deliver goods to customers.
Requirements:
- AZ class license.
- Ability to work independently.
