Critical Care Nurse

Job Description
North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit. As a member of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment, providing excellent patient and family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a culturally sensitive manner
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in unit quality initiatives and measurement to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 1-2 years of experience in an acute medical or surgical care unit
- Current BCLS and ACLS certification
- Completion of Critical Care Certificate (or within 6 months from hire)
- Ability to speak another language is an asset
