Construction Labourer

At Mike's Insulation Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team. As an Insulation Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation of insulation materials in various construction settings. Your duties will include loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades. You will also assist in demolishing buildings, removing rubble and other debris at construction sites, and tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction. Additionally, you will be responsible for fitting insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs, fabricating and applying removable insulation pads and covers, and measuring and cutting insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools. You will also apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods. Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Assisting in demolishing buildings
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction
  • Fitting insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
  • Fabricating and applying removable insulation pads and covers
  • Measuring and cutting insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
  • Applying and securing insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods
Requirements:
  • Experience in construction and insulation an asset
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and flexibility
