Maintenance Equipment Technician

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our team at Dipaolo Machine Tools Ltd. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery in our manufacturing facility. This includes regular inspections, repairs, modifications, and maintenance to ensure optimal production efficiency and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Inspect and repair equipment and machinery to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhauls or maintenance
- Assemble and install machinery and equipment, including mixers, saws, pullers, precision bearings, gear-boxes, clutches, motors, shafts, sprockets, chains, conveyors, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment in breakdown situations
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a proven track record of maintaining and repairing equipment. You will work independently with minimal supervision and be responsible for keeping accurate records of maintenance activities.
Requirements:- Must be a valid Maintenance Millwright who is fully licensed/certified in the Province of Ontario
- 5+ years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Reliable, punctual, and health-safety-environment conscious
- Able to work shifts and overtime
- Ability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts
- Strong familiarity with machine shop practices (lathe & milling machines); use of power tools
