Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Millwright to join our team at Canfor's Whitecourt Sawmill. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mill machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Apply your knowledge and skills to troubleshoot issues and implement safe, reliable fixes.
  • Assist in creating a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and site visitors.
Requirements
  • Red Seal Certification in Millwrighting.
  • Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • High degree of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process (an asset).
  • Experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability (an asset).
