Job Overview
The Activity Director at Oakmont Montecito is a key member of our team, responsible for designing and implementing engaging activity programs that enhance the lives of our residents. This role requires a passion for working with older adults, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff members.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and lead activity programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
• Supervise and train Activity Assistants and Volunteers to support program delivery.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of activities and services.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
• 1+ year of experience in activity programming or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull wheelchairs as needed.
