Job Overview

The Financial Project Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate project accounting, in compliance with IFRS standards and internal company policies. This position requires excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare monthly project reports and analysis on revenue, gross margin, cash flow, and bookings/backlog.
- Ensure accounts receivable and work-in-progress are current and follow up on any overdue or outstanding amounts.
- Assist with the preparation of project forecasts, budgets, and estimates.
- Prepare monthly revenue recognition and accrual entries in line with IFRS 15 standards.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A university degree in accounting, commerce, or business administration.
- 5+ years of financial/accounting work experience, preferably in core project accounting.
- CPA designation or in progress of pursuing it.
- Prior external audit experience with a reputable accounting firm is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Prior hands-on experience working with Oracle EBS, Business Object, and Adaptive Insight is desired.
