Out-of-Town Foreperson

Overview of the Role
Modern Niagara is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Out-of-Town Foreperson to lead and support the day-to-day operations of our field teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing project mechanical system installations to a high level of productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a field team with a focus on safety and productivity.
- Facilitate a site work culture that leads to productivity and worker engagement.
- Coordinate installations with other trades and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Order tools and materials as required to maintain the productive flow of installations.
- Create, track, and execute a project labour plan.
- Perform work-related duties as required.
Requirements
- Three to five years of experience as a plumbing Foreperson.
- Red Seal plumbing ticket required.
- Local 488 membership required, if not currently an active member.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule work to get ahead and stay ahead of schedule.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Customer-focused and resourceful.
- Ability to identify and estimate change orders.
- Knowledge and skill in the use of the tools and equipment of the trade.
- Experience in Commercial, Institutional, and Hospital projects is an asset.
- Knowledge of IPC in Health Care Facilities is considered an asset.
