Job Description

Job Title: Scrum Master - IT Specialist

Company: Nexus Systems Group Inc.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating Scrum/Kanban practices, providing guidance and leadership to teams, and ensuring the adoption of Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Facilitation: Facilitate Scrum/Kanban practices, ensuring teams are working efficiently and effectively.
  2. Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to teams, helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
  3. Agile Adoption: Ensure the adoption of Agile methodologies across the organization, providing training and support as needed.
  4. Process Improvement: Continuously improve team processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that teams are aware of potential issues and are equipped to handle them.
  6. Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report on team metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 3-4+ years of experience in HRIS, Agile/Lean, and project management.
  2. Education: Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  3. Skills: Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, strong communications and interpersonal skills, ability to quickly prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. National Payroll Institute (NPI) / Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certification.
  2. Agile certifications (Certified Scrum Master, Kanban Management Professional).
  3. SAP / SuccessFactors certifications (SAP HCM, SuccessFactors ECP, WFS).
  4. Financial services background.
  5. Fluency in Spanish.
