Deck Carpenter Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Deck Carpenter Specialist to join our team at Terra Decks Inc.

This permanent, full-time position offers an estimated salary of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel regularly.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field, with equivalent education in secondary (high) school graduation certificate. They must be able to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements, prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Fabricate and install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various locations

The successful candidate will be able to handle heavy loads, work in physically demanding environments, and work with minimal supervision. They will also possess excellent judgement, reliability, accuracy, client focus, teamwork skills, and a strong work ethic.

In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to instruct apprentices and supervise other workers as needed.
