At SHORELINE DRYWALL LTD., we are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in woodworking techniques and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced residential construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measurements to ensure accurate and efficient construction
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials to create complex structures
  • Install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Supervise and lead a team of workers to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential structures in a variety of settings

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Work in a variety of environments, including residential construction sites, warehouses, and offices
  • Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
  • Handle heavy loads and materials
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field

Language: English - Work Term: Permanent - Hours: 35 hours per week
