Job Title: Tax Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Coordinator to join our team in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. As a Tax Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks within the Tax Department, including indirect taxes in Canada and the USA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Tax Manager to oversee accurate and timely filing of US and Canadian sales/use taxes and US business license taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations for sales/use and business licenses in all states and provinces.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax returns for various states and jurisdictions.
  • Research and stay updated in sales tax laws and communicate relevant information and changes.
  • Support audit by providing the right documentation.

Requirements:

  • DEC with a focus in business administration, accounting, or a related area of study is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, sales tax role, or related field.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to learn new computer systems.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate easily on the phone.
  • Must be fully bilingual with an expert level in English.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially in Excel for handling data and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and collaborative skills.
  • Ability and comfort to work in a routine, repetitive role.
  • Superior problem solving, ability to investigate and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to multi-task.
