About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at FONTAINE SITE SERVICES INC. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Assist in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting Rock: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites to prepare for excavation and construction.
  • Level Earth to Fine Grade Specifications: Use specialized equipment to level earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring a stable and even surface.
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt: Assist in paving and raking asphalt to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Assist in Demolishing Buildings: Assist in demolishing buildings and structures, safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and debris from construction sites, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Tend or Feed Machines: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated.
Work Environment

As a Construction Laborer with FONTAINE SITE SERVICES INC., you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work outdoors, underground, and in noisy and dusty conditions. You will also be required to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working in a team.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
