Job Summary

The Profit Centre Manager will lead all business operations at the Profit Centre, driving growth while sustaining profitability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, developing, and managing the Profit Centre Team to achieve sales, gross profit, and profit-sharing goals.
  • Determining targeted customer account potential and establishing sales goals.
  • Analyzing financial reports and developing strategies to increase sales and margins.
  • Building relationships in the community to understand the marketplace and identify new markets.
  • Ensuring the Profit Centre meets or exceeds service expectations of customers.
  • Taking ownership of marketing plans and purchasing agreements.
  • Understanding and following safety regulations at all customer locations and the Profit Centre.
  • Safeguarding and maintaining all Profit Centre assets.

Requirements

  • College and/or University degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of wholesale distribution experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity.
  • Driven to succeed with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to make sound business judgments.
  • Ability to create and nurture a positive team environment.
  • Strong desire to strive for operational excellence.
  • Understanding of purchasing and inventory control processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Experience using Trend and Eclipse.
