Job Description

As a Sr Data Engineer at Lyons Consulting Group, you will be part of a self-organized team working on one of the world's largest social media platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to design, build, and implement data processing platforms using cutting-edge technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to collect data requirements, develop data pipelines using Python, and ensure timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customers to collect data requirements and develop data pipelines using Python.
  • Design and implement data processing platforms using cloud-based technologies.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Analyze scope of alternative solutions and make decisions based on technical expertise.
  • Responsible for resolving crisis situations and initiating code reviews.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, adhering to engineering standards and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in crafting data pipelines for cloud data warehouses.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience in building data pipelines and working with cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience with extracting data from REST APIs and ingesting it into cloud data warehouses.
  • Experience working with S3 buckets and writing DAGs on Airflow.
  • Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering standard processes.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and social skills.
