This includes developing comprehensive technology designs, solutions, and implementation plans for the data center team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of layered architectures, virtualized environments, security, monitoring, and high availability systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement IT Infrastructure: Develop and implement comprehensive technology designs, solutions, and implementation plans for the data center team.
- Lead Technical Teams: Lead technical teams in the analysis, design, and implementation of IT infrastructure projects.
- Evaluate Solutions: Evaluate and optimize infrastructure designs based on a rigorous understanding of returned benefits and impact on business or IT.
- Ensure Security by Design: Ensure that the architecture is designed with 'Security by Design' principles, including the incorporation of security controls and measures at the design phase, to mitigate potential risks and threats.
- Review and Choose Technology: Review and help in choosing the right technology for the context.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Discipline: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline.
- 10+ Years of Experience in IT: 10+ years of total experience in IT with relevant technologies.
- Experience in Data Center Management: 5+ years of experience in the analysis and understanding of the infrastructure related to data centers, hardware, and systems.
- Virtualization Experience: 7+ years of experience in deploying and managing virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, etc.).
- Cloud Experience: 5+ years of experience with cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS), automation, orchestration, cost frameworks, trends, and Industry-leading private/public/hybrid cloud vendor offerings and interoperability.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal presentation skills in English.
- Technical Expertise: Strong applied knowledge of layered architectures, virtualized environments, security, monitoring, and high availability systems.
- Leadership Skills: Self-motivated and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration: Good interpersonal skills that support a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
