We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Operations Manager to join our team at RaceTrac. As a Shift Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the General Manager and Co-Manager in overseeing the profitability of one RaceTrac store on designated shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a frictionless experience for guests.
  • Foster positive and professional relationships with colleagues and guests.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain a consistent team-oriented attitude.
  • Efficiently process guest transactions and suggest products that complement purchases.
  • Address and mitigate any guest concerns with a sense of urgency and involve regional team members as needed.
  • Direct, monitor, and adhere to all safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations.
  • Ensure that all food offers are available and the store is clean and fully stocked.
  • Execute shift duties, maintain overall presentation standards, and represent the RaceTrac brand.
  • Clean food preparation areas and equipment to RaceTrac standards.
  • Demonstrate RaceTrac's Core Values of Honesty, Efficiency, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork.
  • Display RaceTrac's Leadership Qualities through acting with a servant-leader mentality, prioritizing tasks appropriately, and solving problems with a proactive approach.
  • Lead the coaching, training, and assessment of direct reports while adhering to operational standards.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on employee performance and development to the General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed.
  • 2-3 years' work experience preferred.
  • 1+ years management experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environments preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Takes initiative.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the job, with no or infrequent breaks.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain food handler permit, based on local or state requirements.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain alcohol server permit, based on local or state requirements.
