Millwright Specialist

Are you a skilled professional with a knack for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues? We're seeking a Millwright Specialist for our Whitecourt, AB sawmill, where you can utilize your technical expertise, communication skills, and troubleshooting abilities to keep our modern sawmill operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, and chains.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, inspecting machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Effectively manage time, assessing when to assemble, move, replace, or dismantle machinery.
• Apply your knowledge, skills, and experience to troubleshoot issues, enhance equipment reliability, and implement safe, reliable fixes.
• Have great attention to detail to identify and request relevant parts for timely repairs.
• Accountability for assisting in creating a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and site visitors.

Requirements:

• Hold a Red Seal Certification
• Have the physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrate a high degree of urgency.
• Have knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process (an asset).
• Possess experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability (an asset).
