Lead the Success of South Centre Volkswagen and Okotoks Volkswagen

We are seeking a seasoned General Manager to drive the success of our dealerships, South Centre Volkswagen and Okotoks Volkswagen. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the dealerships, including Accounting, New, Used, Parts, and Service departments.

Your primary objective will be to develop and execute plans to ensure the dealerships maintain an acceptable level of profit. You will accomplish this through planning, motivating, and coordinating the activities of all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Dealer Principal and Chief Operating Officer (COO) to plan the dealerships' operations for the coming year.
  • Monitor and maintain acceptable Gross Profit levels in all areas of the dealerships' operations.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with our related OEM, WAG, and related personnel.
  • Oversee all dealership personnel functions, including interviewing, hiring, measuring, and evaluating performance, recognizing accomplishments using HR resources.
  • Review compensation plans for all employees with consultation from the Dealer Principal and COO.
  • Provide enthusiastic leadership to shape employees' attitudes and build morale.
  • Embrace long-term strategies to ensure continued excellence in customer service and satisfaction.
  • Develop merchandising strategies and assist in creating effective, cost-efficient advertising and marketing programs.

Qualifications:

  • Related management experience is required.
  • Experience in all aspects of managing a dealership franchise, with a proven track record in vehicle sales, service, and parts, and customer satisfaction.
  • The ability to motivate and develop a cohesive team throughout the dealership.
  • A solid understanding of retail and wholesale financing.
  • Maintain a superior customer satisfaction rating.
  • Create and implement new marketing strategies for continued growth.
