About the Role

Ville de Laval is seeking a skilled Environmental Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Service de l'environnement et de l'écocitoyenneté, you will play a vital role in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development in our city.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical and analytical work to enforce municipal regulations and implement environmental projects.
  • Perform inspections, investigations, and assessments to identify environmental hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement plans to address environmental concerns and promote sustainable practices.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Environmental Studies, Hygiene and Safety, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in environmental protection, wastewater treatment, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of provincial regulations, such as Q-2, r. 22, is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
