Overview

Our company, Recrutement Life After Law, is seeking a skilled Real Estate Associate to join our team in downtown Toronto. This role will primarily involve working on complex commercial real estate transactions with occasional residential work. The position is hybrid.

The responsibilities of this role include:

- Structuring and completing complex real estate and land development transactions and all aspects of condominium development,
- Purchases and sales of commercial property (and residential as necessary),
- Financing for borrowers and lenders (both institutional and private lenders),
- Working on developer/builder sales and project-related work (or an interest in learning how to do such work).

We are looking for a candidate who has or is willing to obtain the following qualifications:

- J.D/LL.B degree and membership in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario,
- 2-4 years of experience in Real Estate (more experience welcome),
- Experience in commercial transactions, commercial real estate purchases and sales, and mortgage lending and assignment,
- Commercial leasing experience,
- Experience in Condominium Development is an asset,
- Excellent drafting and verbal and written communication skills,
- Strong business instinct and acumen,
- Ability to handle files independently and as part of a team,
- Desire to exceed expectations,
- Exceptional time management and project management skills along with an ability to juggle between multiple projects/priorities.
