Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at The Grand Canal Retirement Residence. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as toileting, feeding, and mobility.
  • Perform various tasks related to patient care and comfort, including taking vital signs and administering first aid.
  • Transport residents in wheelchairs or stretchers, as needed.
  • Answer call signals and respond to residents' needs in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Collect specimens and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
