Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Assistant to join our team at North Star Plumbing & Heating Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will assist in various aspects of plumbing and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials with precision and care.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, requiring attention to detail and physical stamina.
  • Operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move, and place equipment and materials with accuracy.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, ensuring a safe and efficient work process.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, requiring mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Assist with the installation, assembly, and repairs to equipment, working closely with the team to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
