About the Role

This is a key position responsible for arranging products according to planograms, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to outlets. The successful candidate will also provide customer service, review requirements of the establishment, and select and purchase merchandise for resale.

Responsibilities
  • Arrange product according to planogram, ensuring optimal shelf placement and visual appeal
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers, negotiating prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements
  • Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets, ensuring timely delivery and minimal stockouts
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
  • Review requirements of the establishment, determining quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, considering factors such as quality, price, and market trends
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in product merchandising, retail management, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze sales data and make informed purchasing decisions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access, and Word
Working Conditions

The Product Merchandiser Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
