Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic culinary specialist with a passion for South Indian cuisine to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong background in preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

  • Prepare and cook complex dishes requiring advanced knife skills, seasoning techniques, and presentation styles.
  • Develop and implement new menu items that showcase the richness and diversity of South Indian cuisine.
  • Collaborate with our chef and kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of menus, specials, and promotions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and mentor junior staff members on preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organization, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure optimal performance.

We specialize in traditional South Indian cuisine, offering a diverse range of delicious dishes that cater to various tastes and dietary requirements. Our menu includes options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, and other special diets.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

This role requires standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment, and performing repetitive tasks. You must be able to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and demonstrate excellent judgment and reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or catering firm setting.
  • Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine, including ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and mentor junior staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
