Data Engineering Director

About the Role:
TransUnion LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineering Director to lead our data engineering efforts in Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for setting the vision and strategy for data engineering in Canada, creating and maintaining technology data strategy and roadmaps, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set the vision and strategy for data engineering in Canada, leveraging TU global/international solutions.
- Create, maintain, and own technology data strategy and roadmaps.
- Lead cross-functional teams from ideation to launch of data solutions, ensuring coordination between data and application platforms, solution architecture, information security standards, operational processes, and data governance.
- Drive KPIs critical to software and data quality.
- Communicate effectively with business and technology stakeholders, setting expectations of any operational impacts of new/changed data solutions.
- Own and manage business metadata, data quality, standards, governance, and metrics for Canada, leveraging Canada GT, GIO, InfoSec, Ops, and US data acquisition & services teams.
- Engage and collaborate with partners and stakeholders to gather input and communicate plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Perform relevant Data Stewardship activities when necessary.
- Provide strong mentorship, leadership, coaching, and expertise to build and enhance core talent capabilities.
