About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Cleaning and Maintenance to join our team at Kleenway Building Maintenance Services Inc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cleaning and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the work of janitors, caretakers, and building superintendents to ensure that cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning and maintenance services.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify and recommend additional services required to maintain our facilities, such as painting, repair work, and renovations.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to cleaners as needed to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Coordinate Work Activities: Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Maintain Inspection Records: Maintain accurate records of inspections and complete inspection reports as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in cleaning and maintenance.
  • Work Environment: Noisy, odours, outdoors.
  • Work Setting: Office building.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, physically demanding.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, reliability.
