About the Role: In this role, you will have independent authority, responsibility, and liability to prepare, process, and compound prescriptions, including receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions, ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic, and providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process, and compound prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
- Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic.
- Provide injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions.
- Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies.
- Ensure the accuracy of prepared prescriptions.
- Conduct the final check of prepared prescriptions.
- Confirm the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
Requirements:
- Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
