At Loblaw Companies Limited, we're looking for a skilled Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for aiding our pharmacy in the production of prescriptions and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:


  2. Receive customer prescriptions, gather all necessary information, and ensure completeness of information
  3. Maintain patient and drug information files
  4. Check pharmaceutical products prepared by another regulated pharmacy technician or by unregulated pharmacy personnel
  5. Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for release
  6. Preparation of prescription labels, affixing prescription and auxiliary labels to prescription container
  7. Reconciling accounts and collecting outstanding monies from patients where necessary
  8. Retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, mixing, and reconstitution of medications
  9. Price prescriptions, prepare receipts, invoices, letters, memos, and general filing
  10. Stock medications and related supplies, rotate, and monitor stock
  11. Maintain perpetual inventory system in MMS
  12. Maintain customer privacy and confidentiality

Requirements:


  2. Registered pharmacy technician certification and maintained registration with appropriate pharmacy association
  3. High level of professionalism
  4. Knowledge of professional discipline, technical specialties, related process
  5. Ability to implement practical procedures of systems which are moderately complex
  6. Leadership and organizational skills
  7. Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle cash accurately
  8. Experience with Healthwatch an asset
  9. Respect for the confidential and individual rights of our customers
  10. Ability to effectively communicate one on one and over the telephone with coworkers, supervisors, suppliers, physicians, and customers
