BN Progressive Products is seeking a skilled Molding Machine Operator to join our team. As an essential member of our production department, you will be responsible for setting up and operating one or more molding machines to produce high-quality plastic products.

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with experience in troubleshooting and making minor adjustments to equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish between colors. They will also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to meet company standards.
  • Pack items for shipping and distribution, ensuring accurate labeling and inventory management.
  • Set up and operate one or more molding machines to produce plastic products, following established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and change molds and adjust equipment for production line changes, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, manufacturing) considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting heavy loads.
