Job Description
The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. As an experienced High-Performance Optics Design Engineer, you will join a multidisciplinary development team supporting the design and development of advanced optical components, modules, and sub-systems to meet customer needs in various market applications.
You will lead and support projects from concept definition, detailed design, process, and test development, prototyping, and qualification phases, through to implementation into manufacturing. This role requires expertise in designing and developing optical products, from concept through to volume manufacturing, and experience in a broad range of optical and microelectronic technologies, materials, components, assembly, and test processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate engineering or science degree in a related discipline required with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in design and development of optical products, from concept through to volume manufacturing.
- Experience in a broad range of optical and microelectronic technologies, materials, components, assembly, and test processes.
- Experience with latest optical design and modeling tools and techniques.
- Strong multidisciplinary background covering microelectronics, packaging and assembly, process development, electrical design and simulation, mechanical and thermal design and simulation.
- Able to work well within a multidisciplinary product development team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
