AECOM is seeking a skilled 3D Modeling Technician to work on a large, multi-disciplinary Hydropower construction project in Canada.

The selected candidate will collaborate with the project team and report directly to the BIM lead. The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Adhering to project BIM standards.
  • Preparing finished design drawings from sketches, notes, and layout details in CAD 2D and 3D software.
  • Working in engineering collaboration platforms like ProjectWise and BIM360.
  • Performing quality checks through self- and peer-quality reviews.

This position involves working in a team-based environment, coordinating with colleagues across different offices, and delivering projects collaboratively with teams of engineers, designers, project managers, and architects on multi-disciplinary projects.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a 3D modeler technician on industrial construction projects, along with a technical diploma.
  • Strong proficiency in Bentley – MicroStation software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideal experience: 10+ years in large multidisciplinary construction projects.
  • Experience in Hydropower and infrastructure design/construction.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling using Bentley Software (OpenBuilding Designer, OpenPlant Designer, and ProjectWise).
  • Knowledge of applicable Canadian standards and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
