Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Assembly Technician to join our team at Active Green and Ross. As an Automotive Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and installing motor vehicle parts and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder or otherwise fasten motor vehicle parts and components together to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Operate and tend automated assembling equipment to optimize production efficiency.
  • Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations, ensuring proper connections and safety protocols.
  • Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories, adhering to manufacturer specifications and quality control measures.
  • Fit and adjust parts to ensure proper fitment and functionality.
  • Check motor vehicle exterior priming and colour coats, sealers and glaziers to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Mark, record and report motor defects to be repaired, maintaining accurate records and communicating with team members.
  • Test motor vehicle electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring for proper performance, identifying and resolving any issues.
  • Inspect auto parts for defects, ensuring only high-quality components are used in production.
  • Inspect fully assembled motor vehicles for defects, conducting thorough quality control checks.
  • Ensure that previously noted defects have been corrected, maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
  • Drive and test motor vehicles on roll testing device to ensure that transmission, axle, engine and brakes function properly, identifying and resolving any issues.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and quality control.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with a focus on safety and ergonomics.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Environment

This role involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental factors. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.

Language

The primary language of this role is English, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Hours of Work

This role requires a 40-hour workweek, with flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
