We are currently seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a Millwright at our Lethbridge, AB location. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a strong background in mechanical equipment maintenance and are looking to work with a leading agribusiness company.
About the Role:
As a Millwright, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance activities on various types of equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gears, shafts, pumps, gear boxes, belts, and agitators. You will also be required to use laser equipment, install and remove motors, connect couplings and belts, and fabricate equipment and parts. Additionally, you will establish and implement preventative & operational maintenance activities, troubleshoot issues, and perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance activities on various types of equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gears, shafts, pumps, gear boxes, belts, and agitators.
- Use laser equipment, install and remove motors, connect couplings and belts, and fabricate equipment and parts.
- Establish and implement preventative & operational maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- A valid Journeyman Millwright Certificate.
- Skills to operate precision metal cutting & grinding machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills & grinders.
- Able to use instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers & prepare working sketches.
- Able to fit parts to mechanisms and verify dimensions.
- Able to work with computerized maintenance system.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
