Job Title: Air Pilot

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Pilot to join our team at Diamond Aircraft Industries.

Job Summary:

The Air Pilot will be responsible for flying fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters, following emergency procedures, monitoring aircraft systems, and performing post-flight inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Flying fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters
  • Following emergency procedures to compensate for equipment malfunction or failure
  • Monitoring operation of engine and aircraft systems during flight
  • Performing post-flight inspections
  • Recording equipment malfunctions and corrective actions taken during flight
  • Reporting required repairs to ground maintenance personnel
  • Testing new aircraft to evaluate performance
  • Coordinating flight activities with ground crews and air-traffic control
  • Conducting in-flight tests and monitoring functioning of aircraft equipment and systems
  • Conducting pre-flight inspections of aircraft and checking passenger and cargo distribution
  • Contacting control towers for takeoff clearances and arrival instructions
  • Maintaining communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters
  • Preparing flight evaluation reports
Requirements:
  • Commercial Pilot Licence - fixed wing
  • Transport Canada flight instructor rating
  • Airline Pilot Transport Licence - fixed wing
  • Flight instrument rating
  • Multi-instrument Flight Rating
Preferred Qualifications:
  • General flight instructor rating
  • Airplane instructor rating
  • General aviation experience
  • Secondary school education
