About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at IBII Construction Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Paint Application: Mix paint to the desired color and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and trim.
  • Wall Decor Installation: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, creating a visually appealing and durable finish.
  • Scaffolding and Rigging: Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging to ensure safe access to work areas.
Work Environment

As a Painter with IBII Construction Inc., you will work in a variety of locations, including outdoors and at heights. You will be exposed to physical demands, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: Will train, but a background in painting or a related field is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.

  • Physical Demands: The ability to work in a physically demanding environment is required.
