Networking Product Verification Specialist

Lumentum is seeking a skilled Networking Product Verification Engineer to play a key role in the verification of the networking aspects of cutting-edge optical communication products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manual and automated test strategies for networking products.
  • Document and review test plans with peers and stakeholders to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Work with the team to automate and manually execute test plans, ensuring timely and efficient verification of product features.
  • Record and report test case execution progress and results, providing valuable insights for product improvement.
  • Provide guidance and share technical expertise with junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in embedded product verification, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with C# development for test case automation.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, including LAG/LACP, LLDP, sZTP, BootZ, L3 ECMP, IP, UDP/TCP, DHCP, Layer 2 Ethernet/MAC, and gRPC.
  • Understanding of management interfaces, such as OpenConfig, SNMP, and gNMI.
  • Knowledge of Linux, including Linux commands, scripting, and syslog.
  • Understanding of hardware devices, such as ADCs/DACs/Clocks/UART.
  • Ability to use a schematic to understand electronic device connections.
  • Knowledge of optical telecommunications, including DWDM, Optical Amplifiers, ROADMs, and MEMs.
