Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

ABC DAYCARE CENTRE is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans.
  • Assist colleagues with housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and supplies.
  • Lead activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children on outings.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with record-keeping and submitting written observations.
  • Discuss children's progress and problems at staff meetings.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education.
  • 1-7 months of experience.
  • Food allergy and anaphylaxis training.
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
