About the Role:This is a clinical role that involves providing respiratory care services to patients across all age groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating oxygen therapy, CPAP therapy, and other respiratory services as prescribed, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:- Initiate oxygen therapy, CPAP therapy, and assess respiratory health on an ongoing basis.
- Educate clients on their condition and prescribed therapy.
- Conduct follow-up assessments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Obtain informed consent from clients before initiating therapy.
- Protect clients and employees by adhering to safety and infection control policies and protocols.
- Current registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the provincial governing body.
- Proof of a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to provide a clean Driver's Abstract.
- Previous customer service experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and oral) is required, with bilingualism considered an asset.
- Professional and friendly interpersonal skills with strong customer service values.
- Excellent organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, assess situations, prioritize tasks, and set deadlines.
- Professional and mature demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Good time management skills, ability to work effectively under pressure, and meet demanding deadlines.
- Commitment to both personal and patient/client safety.
- Current Basic Rescuer CPR and First Aid Training is considered an asset.
- Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), QuickBooks, or similar accounting software, and experience with CRM/EMR systems.
