Position Overview for Contents Management Technician
The Contents Management Technician is tasked with the careful handling of personal belongings in both residential and commercial environments. This role involves both supervised and independent work, engaging in a variety of tasks including packing, transporting, and deodorizing items. A keen eye for detail, outstanding customer service skills, and strict adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage personal property in diverse settings, ensuring proper care and handling
- Conduct vehicle safety checks and maintenance routines
- Assist in the development of content scope of work
- Identify items that can be salvaged while delivering top-notch customer service
- Follow safety regulations and comply with organizational policies
- Effectively communicate conditions observed at job sites
- Engage in ongoing training and skill development
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of best practices within the restoration industry
- Familiarity with various chemical cleaning agents
- Preference for candidates with IICRC certification
- Background in construction, restoration, or insurance sectors
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift objects of varying weights regularly
- Capability to maneuver in confined spaces
- Willingness to undergo fit testing and work at heights as needed
- Capacity for extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
