We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Operations Specialist to join our team at Asset Strategy Inc. in Western Canada.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various projects, utilizing their technical expertise and strong analytical skills. This position requires a blend of customer service abilities, technical knowledge, and proficiency in various software applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform field assessments of municipal and utility infrastructure in a variety of weather conditions and locations.
  • Utilize testing equipment and perform data collection activities ensuring high attention to detail, quality, and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Travel required at times to various client sites for field inspections and meetings.
  • Analyze project requirements and develop schematics to support design and implementation.
  • Draft detailed documentation for field inspection processes and post-inspection reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Collaborate with team members to fabricate components as needed for various projects.
  • Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking project progress.
  • Prepare presentations and reports using Word to communicate findings and updates effectively.
  • Assist in operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Participate in project planning meetings, contributing insights and recommendations based on technical expertise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a technical role with a strong understanding of field inspection practices.
  • Class 5 drivers license required.
  • Diploma in an Engineering Technologist program preferred.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation preferred.
  • Proficiency in customer service, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with schematics and drawings and the ability to analyze complex information is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for creating clear documentation related to projects.
  • Experience with project management principles to support successful execution of tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to create reports and analyze data efficiently.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $53,500 - $84,150 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental care, extended health care, life insurance, and vision care.
