Job Summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled Field Mechanic to join our team in Fort McMurray. As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on our fleet of equipment, including large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Alberta Journeyman or Red Seal in HET or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
  • Experience with construction equipment, including air compressors, generators, forklifts, elevated work platforms, light towers, etc.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving abstract
  • Related experience may include Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) trade

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
