Job Title: Class 1 Driver

As a Class 1 driver with Queensway Transport inc., you will be responsible for making chemical deliveries with a safe and conscientious attitude to our valued customers. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing a thorough inspection of the truck and tank prior to departure
  • Loading the tank
  • Delivering chemicals and liquid bulk products to our customers
  • Working outdoors during loading and deliveries
  • Handling products with caution using hoses and a pump
  • Operating in various destinations in the province of Québec

FAQ:
  • What types of products do we carry? Acids, sodium hydrosulphite, insecticides, liquid fertilizers, ferric sulfate, aluminum sulfate, sodium silicate, glue, paper bleaching compounds, water treatment compounds, etc.
  • Are your trucks manual or automatic? We have both, but the majority of our trucks in Queensway are automatic.
  • What are your available schedules? Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday.

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • DEP in Truck Transport (an asset)
  • At least 2 years of experience driving heavy vehicles
  • Be available to sleep in the truck and leave for 5 consecutive days
  • Have an impeccable driving record
  • Have no criminal history
