At GHD, we're committed to making a positive impact on the environment. As a New Graduate or Junior Environmental Engineer/Scientist – Emergency Response, you'll play a vital role in our Environmental Group, working on exciting projects that promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in emergency spill response projects, including containment and confinement of spills, drilling, and monitoring well installation.
  • Conduct fieldwork, including water level monitoring, groundwater sampling, surface water sampling, and soil sampling.
  • Operate drones/UAVs and perform industrial hygiene air monitoring and sampling.
  • Prepare proposals, work plans, reports, and regulatory submissions on behalf of clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of project-related memoranda and reports.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Geological), Bachelor of Science, or alternate relevant qualifications.
  • 0-2 years of experience required, co-op experience considered a benefit.
  • Flexible work schedule, ability to work weekends, holidays, and nights on occasion.
  • Previous experience working in a consulting environment an asset.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • High level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management skills.
