About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Maintenance and Custodial Services Assistant at the Near North District School Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
  • Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in maintenance or custodial work an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
