Job Title: HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Mechanic

Gimmel Enterprises Limited is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our team. As an HVAC Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and overhaul heating systems
  • Install ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems
  • Troubleshoot heating systems
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
  • Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
  • Provide customer service
  • Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices
  • Perform maintenance such as recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system
  • Interpret gas codes
  • Handle, recover, and store refrigerants
  • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems
  • Test and replace defective equipment or components
  • Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
  • Advise clients regarding standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems
  • Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
Requirements:
  • Working at heights training
  • Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B
  • Gas Fitter Trade Certification
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will be working in a mechanical and service company environment.
