We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary Allied Health team at Providence Health Care. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform occupational therapy assessments, program planning, interventions, discharge planning, and follow-up using OT techniques and practices.
- Contribute to an inter-disciplinary approach to patient care and program-related issues by attending ward rounds and team conferences.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of written procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to organize in-service education and identify the need for and participate in educational programs.
- Provide clinical supervision to and evaluation of students as required.
- Support clinical research activities by generating questions, assisting in writing proposals, and participating in data collection and interpretation.
- Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy and up to one year of experience in the designated area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
- Eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
